Weaver Mount Adapters for the CZ 452

Weaver Adapter Closeup

These mount adapters are made to fit the special 11mm dovetail on most models of CZ's 452, and other guns with an 11mm dovetail. They are matte finished aluminum and are attached with set screws. These mounts fit the 452's dovetail tightly and will not move. Best of all they can be attached with an allen key rather than by drilling and tapping the receiver.

Note: The Weaver mounts are out of stock but will be shipping April 25th. My apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delay.

The new mounts are a low-profile mount rather than the version you see above. They add roughly 3/16" (5mm) to the height of the receiver. They are low enough that you can use the iron sights on the Lux and Trainer models without removing the mounts. They will be available to fit both the 11mm and 3/8" (tipoff) dovetails on the CZ-452 as well as the dovetails on many regular 22s and airguns.

I am redesigning the high mounts and will have a production version ready in May or June.

I wanted to use Burris Signature Rings on my CZ 452 Special. I had heard that the Signature 22 rings did not work well on the 11mm dovetail. I tried Tasco adapters but these were too wide for the Signature Zee rings. Finally I just had some built to fit the CZ 11mm dovetail.

Weaver Adapter on a gun with scope mounted

These are medium profile mounts that put a little less than 1/2" of height on the receiver. With high rings you can get to about 0.55" to 1.5" above the receiver depending on the rings selected. With Burris Signature Zee rings the range is about 0.77 (medium) to 0.92 (high). With Burris Zee rings (no inserts) the range is 0.55 (super low) to 0.95 (high). With Millett AngleLoc rings the range is 0.77" (low) to 1.5" (xtra high).

Some reasons why these Weaver mounts might be useful:

I am temporarily out of stock of adapters for the American and 11mm. I will have additional stock in the beginning of April.

Burris Signature System

Burris makes a line of rings that have a plastic insert that sits between the scope and the metal of the rings. This provides a number of benefits:

The beauty of the Burris Signature system is that you can adjust the forward tilt of the scope to extend its adjustment range. I have never used the bottom half of the adjustment range on any scope. I had run out of adjustment shooting at 200 yards. I put a +20 PosAlign insert in the back ring and a -5 in the front ring to cant the front of the scope downward and increase the effective range of the scope. In addition the Signature system eliminates stress on the scope tube.

If you purchase the Signature rings be sure to order the PosAlign insert kit that has all three sizes 20, 10, and 5. It is much cheaper to buy all three at once and they can be combined to fix all sorts of problems. As an example you could put a +20 in back and -10 in front to get the equivalent of 30 thousanths elevation with shims. I cannot recommend these enough.
